Bermeok Zone - Namchi Rural Anganwadi Service Project

Today, a grand program has been concluded at the Mini Conference Hall under 12-Namphing Gram Panchayat Unit under Namchi District, Anganwadi Center Bermek and Namphing Zone under Namchi District.

The said program was organized under the direction of Supervisor of Bermac Zone, Miss Sunita Rai. CDPO Mr. Laxman Tamang informed everyone that he could not attend today's program as Miss Rai was unable to walk since last 22-23 days. The program was concluded very grandly even in the absence of the supervisor.

Chief Guest of the Program was Honorable President of 12-Namphing Gram Panchayat Unit Mr. Arpan Subba, along with Special Guest CDPO Namchi Mr. Laxman Tamang, Assistant Director (AD) Sofia Lepcha, Supervisor Ms. Jerilina Lepcha, Principal of Namphing Secondary School Mr. B. R. Limbu had a glorious presence.

The reception of the program was given by Mrs. Babita Limbu and was conducted by Mrs. Nisha Bajgai, Anganwadi activist of Thapa village.

CDPO Shri Laxman Tamang presented clear information to mothers of children on 'nutrition pakoda' and 'What is nutrition'. Assistant Director Sofia Lepcha gave important information on mothers behavior and what kind of foods to feed children. He noted that children today could adversely affect their health due to excessive consumption of junk foods such as crispy, maggie, ramen, peas etc.

Supervisor Jerilina Lepcha also shared important things with children, mothers and Anganwadi staff present in the context of nutrition pakoda.

Panchayat President Arpan Subba entertained the hard work and contribution of Anganwadi staff through heart touching poetry. He emphasized that closer cooperation is needed between the Panchayat and Anganwadi staff.

He has distributed materials such as fan, sports materials, watches, harpic etc to 13 centers out of the 14 courtyard, keeping mothers and children in mind, while the remaining materials will be handed over to the ideal village center within one or two days, said Panchayat President Arpan Subba.

At the conclusion of the program, Mrs. Aruna Sharma along with everyone expressed thanks in a fun style.

Bermec-Namphing courtyard staff had an organic vegetable shop and organic dishes on display. CDPO Laxman Tamang informed that more grand events will be organized in the coming days.
